A while ago, I was playing Gears of War. I had managed to get to the part of the game where you have to trick the Breserker (Immune to most weapons) into knocking down sections of the roof in order to expose it to the Hammer Of Dawn. I quickly managed this, and fired the Hammer into it's back for several seconds, then got another second in. Seeing the thing on the brink of death, I decided to have a little fun. I snuck over to the opposite side of the room, ran in a circle to attract it's attention. Sure enough, it came barreling towards me, I tapped the (A) button to dive out of the way.

But that wasn't the (A) button. It was the (B) button.
The Melee button.

Next thing I know the Berserker is laying on it's back, dead.

I had just given a Berserker an uppercut with the designator, and killed it.

The way I see it, he was open to damage from melee weapons the whole time, but they would inflict so little damage it was next to impossible to take one out. But the feeling I got as I stood over his corpse was one of pure joy.

Anyone else got any stories similar to this?

In Fallout 3, after deciding to have some fun with a Super Mutant Behemoth, I crippled it so that it had to limb everywhere then took out that fire sword thing and just mellee'd it to death. I kept avoiding getting hit by going into vats right before being hit (Vats makes you invincible for a little while, afterall.) Oh, so enjoyable.

Thats pretty damn lucky.

I remember in Empire total war Online the first cannon shot i fired killed my oppenents General, a warming from god of things to come? perhaps, Sheer luck? definately.

also the WMD's launched in ENDWAR when playing online for the first time, had no effect on my men, even when in the centre of the blast, I somehow achieve Immortality for a fraction of A second....And then got my ass kicked by my opponents rage fury.

Im a ***** when it comes to Online games it seems.

I was playing Europa Universalis III Heir to the Throne as the Mamluks (Egypt, Israel, Lebanon, and Syria essentially).
At one point I had a royal marriage with the Ottoman which I forgot about.
200 years later, their leader dies with no heirs and the closest bloodline was mine and I inherited the whole thing doubling my land area and increasing my economy 3 fold if not more.
Happiest day of my life!
