So I've got about one month left in my home town before I'll be going off to college in a completely different state. My question to you, my fellow escapists, is what should I do with this time.

Any idea's wacky or whatever I'll listen to and have a good chuckle over bu I'm more just curious to see what people suggest.

Disclaimer: I'm purposely leaving out where I'm from or going so that ideas can be given with complete freedom. This also means I'll probably hear things I've already done but again I just want to see what people come up with.

I look forward to whatever comes as a result of this.

Do something with your friends you've wanted to do but haven't that is unique to your area, like visiting a landmark or climbing a mountain or just plain wandering around town till 2:00 am.

I would suggest hang out with your friends, go to the places in town you feel most nostalgic about and get a good impression of the town you're about to leave. That's what I did anyway.

Just have fun, chill out around your favorite places and whatnot. It's not a super huge deal since I imagine you'll be home for holidays and stuff, but at the same time, all those favorite places will be replaced soon by new favorite places, so enjoy them before you get an upgrade

Pack?

Do some of the required reading?

Buy a can opener?

But seriously, clear out your old room of stuff that you don't need any more, and make sure the rest is easily stored away. You'll save yourself a bunch of hassle during the holiday times when you come home, and prevent the "Mum!! You gave all my video games to charity?!" moment.

Then just relax a bit, and try not to wind yourself up about college.

Yeahhhh..... Leaving with a good impression of my hometown might be a little difficult at this point. As far as mates go it also seems that a fair number of them have abandoned me or at least the guy ones have.

I could really care less though since so far my summer has been pretty awesome without'em and I'll (thankfully) never have to deal with the school system again. You can tell its bad when they acknowledge calculating the entire seniors classes GPA's wrong and then do nothing about it.
