Well, there is that big hydro electric dam type thingy nearby. Maybe that has something to do with it?

Wait... doesn't everywhere else have some power source... is it that far-fetched for somebody to have fixed it? Or it might be a totally new rebuilt place, hence New Vegas... I'm just guessing here, I've barely been keeping up with this...

From what I remember the Hoover dam is the NCR capital and was the sight of a massive war.

I would be more excited if the game wasn't being developed by Obsidian.

It's just not Fallout without Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky.

I thought the actual installation survived though? And its the only logical reason that i can think of.

It was a hydrophonics and evil genetic experiments centre besides the fallout would have corroded most of the generators.

Could be any number of the things. Hell, cars had FUSION GENERATORS. Turning the lights on shouldn't be too hard.

NCR, Vault City, New Reno, The Brotherhood, The Glow, Mariposa, San Fran and The Oil Rig all had power,

Just because Bethesda fail at setting design doesn't mean everyone else has to.

There are still two working generators. Whether or not these are enough to power las vegas i know not

I'm assuming the "luck" SPECIAL stat will be of extra use in new vegas and maybe the gambling skill will make a comeback(?).

I think this vegas will be more of the scummy underworld night spot, though gambling would be pretty cool!

If they could power the vaults then a city should be easy. I'm sure it'll all be explained :D
