His post gives me the impression he's being self-aware and employing hypocritical humour. You know, the jokes where humour is derived from someone denouncing something ("people who ***** about minor things are evil, blah blah blah"), while engaging in it ("also, man thursday sucks"). So, not employing bullshit, and not in need of being called out on.

Of course, I could be entirely in the wrong and he really is that stupid. Given that this is the escapist forums, I'll call it a 50/50 chance.

I have family staying at my house, and my cousin has been watching movies on my Netflix. That's fine, I said that they could.

But they've yet to watch a single good movie, and now Netflix is gonna start recommending me stuff based on the shit she's watched.

I have one rule for my Netflix "No Human Centipede" this includes the second one...But apparently someone didn't get the memo.

I know this is an incredibly petty "first world problem" but it's something that has kinda bugged me on my otherwise nice day.

For the second major presentation and report for IE Senior Design, one guy didn't show up for the meeting yesterday. He didn't really write his part of the report, and then today he showed up 10 minutes before the presentation, rather than the hour he should have.

At least the presentation that I basically did all the work to put together was liked by the audience.

Just in general, from the reporting of that story in UK media outlets about the child abuse to get new monitoring laws passed, to bigoted people bashing gays on the internet and actually rationalizing it (Honestly I prefer the "homos are fags lul" at least then they can claim ignorance.)

Just generally have no faith in humanity after today.

i had a speech in my japanese class today (i am terrible at japanese by the way) it was really short to like 1 page of speaking, but i wasnt prepared got cold feet and skipped the class and it turns out i wasnt even supposed to go today. Then when i got home i got a nice long ***** out from my parents about skipping the class (the school calls your house if you get an unexcused absence) Yeah so i feel pretty shitty and now im browsing escapist insted of practicing my speech

The story about the "Anti-Gay people sends letters of stupidity to EA" and people actually defending it made me want to punch a wall. Because it means that hating someone for something that is inherently them is still alive and well in the world and people actually think it's okay.

And the GabeN stupidity as well. I love the internet and all, but there are a lot of people who need to get away from the keyboard and find another kind of hobby. If someone enjoying a tv show ruins everything you believe in, you are doing it wrong.

That was the last thing I read before I walked away to go ride my bike because I could feel my blood pressure skyrocketing.

This morning it was the "train preacher". Fucking hate those people. HATE.

Then it was the guy playing his music through his phone while I was trying to read. Douchy but not as bad as preacher dude.

That's it though, my day was stress-free until I clicked on the website. Funny that.

I have too much university work to do! I have a 6000 word essay to write that is due in a few weeks time, it's really bugged me today. Also I ordered the Metroid Prime Trilogy and I was sent Metroid Prime 3, that annoyed me too.

I have a one week holiday coming up, and my friends are all making plans together, while I have to write 2 literature reviews, a project report, do 2 lab reports, and do 2 more online tests before the Monday following the "holiday".

And I have to pay rent today.

EDIT: You know, it wouldn't be so bad if it was just the lit reviews, the project report and the lab reports; It's the online tests that really make me rage. They're only worth a small percentage of my overall marks, but they're the sorts of things that, regardless of how much you've studied, they'll ALWAYS be worded in a way that trips you up. And they're presented on a program that decides to shut down because of maintenance (or, you know, just because) at random times of the day, invariably during the 3-4 hours leading up to the test deadline. Nothing quite so humiliating as losing a mark because the answer can change depending on your interpretation of the question.

booked my laptop in for a clean, a service and to buy a new battery. I got a call yesterday saying that the reason its not charging is that some cable inside is broken so the power isn't being distributed to the rest of the machine, then I got a call thismorning saying that the fan is busted, and its going to cost me an extra $130 to fix it.

Bioware announcing that they are going to add closure to Mass Effect 3's ending and people STILL bitching and whining.

I mean I can understand hating the ending, and I can also understand being cautiously optimistic. But jesus christ, some people act like the game's ending killed their family or something.

That I bit my cuticle too much and it's now bleeding. My own fault, but still. Now I have to bite MORE to trim it up.
