Ongoing Vampire Popularity

A while ago, movie makers and book writers had this one little thought of straying away from Count Dracula and making vampires good guys(or at least main characters). Now we've got Underworld, where female vampires are becoming sexy, and Twilight, where we explore the romantic side of borrowing a pedestrian's neck for breakfast instead of driving to a local Krispy Kreme.

An Interview with a Vampire spoiled the rest of the vampire movies for me, it's well thought out, the vampires appear civilised yet retain the urge to feast. It changed how I perceive vampires and that perception hasn't changed since.

I did not enjoy that movie. I realized it was supposed to be crazy and outlandish, but it was not fun for me.

Hellsing does the best crazy monster vampires, anyway.
