If I were to give an opinion about the subject.

Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams is the best one of the entire series so far, but only by a few inches because I was still impressed with Onimusha 1 and 2 (#2 being my second place pick of that series, and the 1st closely following after). I have yet to find #3, let alone play it, so I won't make any judgements for or against it.

As for Dino Crisis, #2 was a short, but nicely made fast-paced action game, while #1 was little more than a Resident Evil wannabe.

But personaly, I'd like to see something along the lines of Parasite Eve 2. That was one of the best games i've ever seen ( I know its a Square game, but who cares?)

I loved both franchises, but better still, I loved their sequels, as I think Capcom nailed it the second time around with these games.

The first Dino Crisis was like a bad Resident Evil imitation with a couple of nifty ideas at it was actually scary at times, but the second one was a lot more like the Devil May Cry of it's time (actually, DMC was released one year later), focusing more on fast paced action and I remember having a blast with this game, finishing it like 5 or 10 times.

The first Onimusha was interesting, but the horrible voice acting was kinda killer for me, but the second one had a better protagonist, it had 5 playable characters with multiple paths, but sadly the same ending over and over again (I finished this game like 5 or 10 times too), but it was way longer, it had better graphics, a much more interesting story, much better weapons and overall, way cooler demons to kill.

Both franchises were great for me, if Capcom is planning on reviving them, I hope they find that great idea they're seeking and I hope they don't go with "let's add grim and gritty graphics in them and let's add Marcus & Fenix to get more sales".

And yet Megaman X9 is still on the back burner.
Well the Legends series has been delayed further back than the X series. So I'm not gonna be concentrating on X9 until Legends 3 comes out.
