So I have been reading several online comics through the years, but all of them have been of the comicstrip type, which gives you one small strip of the story every few days (everything from each day to once a week)

Now this is a decent medium for the internet I guess, since it fits nicely on screen, and it is updated often enough for readers to not loose interest.

But what I was wondering is this:

Does anyone know of any online comics that are more in kin with the Marvel/DC type Superhero comics?

Axe Cop! Written by a 6 year old and illustrated by his 25 year old brother!

Awesome stuff - Google it.

Read it, but its far from a Marvel/DC type comic, and it reads very much like a comicstrip :) But it is an very interesting online comic indeed.

I can't think of one. I get that effect by just reading a months worth of the webcomics once a month. High Moon is a little bit like that where it has 4 or 5 strips worth updated every month or whenever they do it.

Hey now we are talking, this is somewhat in the ballpark of what I was looking for. Nice Art in it also. Thought it seems to be sort of a professional project?

Dr. McNinja. Or Awesome Hospital. They're drawn in the comic book page style, and Dr. McNinja is professionally inked and all that.

I got two web comics in mind, but have you tried Conan? I don't know how you can find their huge comic books, but it basically works like the DC comics I think.
It also serves as an interesting read.

I believe Zuda is the online version of DC. If you are good enough you can be hosted on there. I think high moon prints off compilation volumes at the end of chapters. Sought of like order of the stick in that way. So they are making money off it and therefore professional technically (not sure if DC pays them, they probably do). If you feel like scanning through Zuda you can probably find some other interesting web comics hosted in the vein you were looking for.

Antihero For Hire [http://www.antiheroforhire.com/], RPG World [http://www.rpgworldcomic.com/], and especially Outsider [http://well-of-souls.com/outsider/] fit that description, as do quite a few of the comics on Keenspot [http://www.keenspot.com/]. But be warned if you read the ones I specifically listed: RPG World ends abruptly with maybe a month's worth of comics left before the planned conclusion -- because the author went on to bigger and better things -- and Outsider only updates sporadically. Last I checked, Antihero for Hire was still updating regularly, but I don't know if it is now or not.

Oh, wait -- I remembered another one: El Goonish Shive [http://www.egscomics.com].

Edit: Didn't realize you were looking specifically for Superhero comics; I just thought you were looking for comic book style, as opposed to comic strip. Antihero for Hire may be right up your alley.

Oh I am looking to see what is out there mostly, with Superhero as sort of the main theme.
