It's an interesting thing that some people revent to basic assholery because they have no obligation to be polite, respectful, etc. Though after a while you learn to put up with it. Sure I'd like everyone to be nice and all but frankly I don't see it happening any time soon.

I don't hide behind a virtual mask. Click to my profile, you'll see all the information about where I live, so if I say something, I mean it wholeheartedly. But hey, I feel safe posting that sort of stuff on this website. You're told of the dangers of publishing personal information on the internet, but I think the escapist is the exception that proves the rule.

Sorry but although I do agree with you I have to say this.
People need to harden the fuck up.
Yes, we should be able to all get along respectfully but it will never happen. People can get worked up and may say shit that is misinterpreted or just taken as harsher than intended.

However, there will always be assholes no matter where you are. If you get all butt hurt over someone calling you names online then you should not be online to start with.
I agree, it's just the internet for fucks sake. Hell, I often invite people to insult me and it has no effect, partly because I may be narcissistic but mainly because most of the people who behave like arseholes online wouldn't have the guts to say something like that to your face, or anyone's for that matter. If they did they'd hit the floor before they knew what had happened.

In any case, we're all fully aware that the internet is full of creeps and weirdos, it's kind of interesting to be able to interact with them without actually having to meet them face to face. Oh well.

P.S
If all else fails use this : Sticks and stones may break my bones but you're still a ****.

The world is full of degenerates, the internet just conects them. Annomnymity does make it a little worse, as does the fact that kids are alowed to use it.

Personally, I only say what I'd be willing to people's faces. I also don't see the point of being arsey online, it doesn't make me feel as good as it might if I said it to their faces, so it's not really worth the effort.
