ok i know this sounds crazy but here me out what if sony, mirciosoft, and nintendo joined forces and made a game that connects all their servers together and theres no lag or hackers
how awsome would that be i know this well never happen but its nice little idea dont you think

It would be annoying, all the Wii games would be different than the 360 or PS3 ones becuase of the Wiimote vs. the regular controller. and then there is also that the 360 and PS3 both support communication between players and the Wii does not. I mean technically I guess PS3, 360 and PC could do it, like they did 360 and PC for Shadowrun, but I really didn't play that that much so I wouldn't know how it was playing with someone on a different platform or system or whatever than you. I think it is like Communism, sounds good on paper, but it will never truely exist well.

I wouldn't care being that I'm too much of an asocial (it's not antisocial use the right word people) bastard to want to share my gaming experience. Nevertheless it would be cool of PC and 360 players could play l4d together... except for all the annoying young uns' it would bring.

Didn't they already do this with Final Fantasy XI or some other game? I'm pretty sure whatever it was didn't work out too well.

Yeah, maybe but you still would have the communication thing, like how PS3 owners some talk and others don't and some 360 players do and some don't.

Plus it would be unfair to those subscribing to Xbox Live while all others are free.

I may just be being an asshole, I've had a lot on my mind and may be taking it out through online pessimism.

I think it could work in a MMO type of game, but for anything 1st Person shooter style etc, a PC would have an extreme advantage over the ps3/360 controllers ( unless they were using a mouse 2)

im no expert at all when it comes to console gaming but having my mates play them as aposed to me on the PC i watch them and just laugh to myself how difficult they are just to aim and shoot at something as oposed to a mouse.

so thats my thought on it, if it was MMO and grinding it could work, but if it was player vs player shootem up/ boxing/fighting etc i think it would be to dissadvantaging having different consoles etc

Why feverish madness, I am trying to imagine what this hybrid super game would look like and I am imagining it as a combination of everyone's (each console's) main online franchises. And I gotta say, a hybrid of Halo 3, War Hawk and SSBB would either be
A. extremely trippy
B. very bad

I wouldn't care because I'll have my good ol' mouse and keyboard, and everyone knows that the mouse is way greater than the wiimote or any controller.
