I've noticed throughout my time playing xbox live with canadians that they really hate the US. I don't blame you it's fun to hate something so easy to hate as America. I can understand that.

Though what has really bothered me is when playing a game where there's a lot of people in game I'll start to try and build good team communication. No I don't start shouting penis and calling everything gay. Usually I can get a good conversation going and we'll talk for awhile. And I'll make a comment about a US state or US politics. And people I didn't even realize were from a different country would say "wait you're american aren't you" And they would go into a rant about free health care and would completely loath me.

I'm asking do you ever catch yourself judging people differently based on their nation identity or do you find yourself being judged for this reason.

Being Canadian I obviously get some automatic backlash from Americans who are bitter about Canadians not giving them a chance. It's a vicious cycle!

This is the first time I've heard someone complain about Canadians insulting Americans...

No, I tend to not get judged for my nationality. Once my brother witnessed some Americans mocking someone with a Scottish accent, telling him to speak English, even though they could understand him.

That has actually never happened to me, and I tend to keep an open mind about other nationalities. Then again, other gamers tend to be more 'oooh, you're sweeeedish, what's that like?' rather than judging me based on it. Though I do have a tendency to believe the worst of young gamers (experience-based), in that the most annoying and insult-spouting people I've encountered have been below 15. But I'm happy to be proven wrong once in a while!

I have never really got judged harshly by people I have encountered. Normally it's "Oh ma gawwwd, you're British!" because I sound well-spoken, the way the rest of the world thinks everyone here actually sounds.

I say all Americans are retards but I don't mean it. Aussies are just as bad. Every nation has their group of idiots that like to call everything gay and insult parents and various other family members.

Although, little kids annoy me, they tend to be the most arrogant. Should really stick to the rating, 15+ for over 15.

I've been chatting with foreigners long enough to realize that each person is different. I've met the stereotypes for the stupid American kid, the intelectual American and the American kid that was much more mature than I was. I've met an Australian with whom I discussed architecture in depth and one who had no idea what 'gothic' was. So I never know what to expect.

As a general rule though, I like almost all the British/Scottish/Irish people I meet. I don't know why.

I've never gotten judged harshly because of my nationality. And I don't judge people for what nationality they are, that would be dumb, but it does explain some things.
