Pn practise, online passes are apparently supposed to encourage the customer to by a new copy of the game as opposed to used copies so the publisher can get more money and you can get some extra stuff by buying the online pass...correct?

Well how comes I recently bought a cheap, new copy of Dragon Age 2 off of Amazon, only to find the "online pass" which has some free DLC expired in March of 2012...two months ago.

So seriously...what's the point in buying a new game over used if the online passes just expire a year after purchase? You might as well buy used if the online pass expires a year after the product is out. seriously...how stupid are EA I don't even

I think it's because after a year they don't care anymore . It's basically to entice you to buy it new when it's 60$. That's when they make most of their money . By march 2012 the game gas already dropped in price to about 20$ new , at that point they no longer care .

Because before march 2012, it would stop used copies. I'd say that's a pretty good reason, and while I'd prefer that they don't exist, it's the same how I'd prefer if I got everything for free. It's something I want, doesn't mean it should happen. I can't fault publishers for it.
