So Onlive recently came to europe, and with it a promotional offer. For UK customers only (or so their advert claims), your first purchase will only be £1. Yup, only a single pound. And thats any title, so I could get Deus Ex: Human Revoloution, Warhammer 40,000: Space marine (etc) for basically nothing, and I can play it on all the highest settings due to the onlive servive. From my perspective i thought "this all has to be too good to be true", so i ran a quick google search and I found a few threads from assorted forums claiming that if you aren't suscribed to onlive for 12 months, your account gets closed. This confuses me, because onlive basically told me from the beginning that I could suscribe to get a lot of games for free as long as i was suscribed, but it was not neccessary to purchase something.

The other thing that startled me was something about being forced to pay to play titles i've already purchased (which was a bit vague). It didn't say much on the subject.

I've read through the Onlive privacy policy and it does indeed say that after 12 months they can delete your account, but again its a bit vague.

Is there anyone here who uses onlive who understands just quite what the hell this is on about? Im tempted to buy deus ex cause its a pound but if im gonna have to suscribe to play it then to be frank, it can sod off.
