Opening file with the wrong program

I am try to download so dvd ripping software, however when I open try to open the software after the download is complete my computer opens it with bittorrent for some reason. It shouldn't do this, the software should be able to open its self, right? Do you know how to change this?

Right-click->Open With...

Select the program you want.

EDIT: Oh, the thing you're opening is a program? Then I don't know.

You've broken the .exe association, I had to sort this for someone the other day.

Is it just that program though? or all installers/programs?

If it's a program, it should be a .exe, .msi or a zipped/compressed folder of some description. the .XXX would be useful to be able to help you.
