Opening my ports

I want to netplay with a friend but my ports aren't open. Does anyone know an easy ay of getting them open?

Start at http://portforward.com/ and go from there. There's plenty of guides there. If you can't figure it out from there we need to know:

What router you have (and you almost certainly do have a router)
What if any firewall is on the PC
What game(s) you are trying to play
