operation flashpoint 2 Mission Editor

I just got operation flashpoint 2 through steam but the mission editor doesn't work. Whenever I try to start up the exe file it tells me:

"c\Program Files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\operation flashpoint dragon rising\Mission editor\MissionEditor.exe"
"The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail."

What can I do to get it to work?

If your using vista, try run as admin. A wild guess but, it might work
