The Heritage album in it's entirety!

Have a listen and see what you think, though the whole album is streamed as one song.

Whats unusual is that there be none of Mikael's usual Death Growls so this is somewhat like their previous Damnation album.

Thoughts? Like, Dislike?

Oka?

I'll be honest, Im not an Opeth fan. Im an Alice in Chains fan, and I heard Opeth's cover of Would? and thought it was decent enough to warrant some other listenings.

I think they're underground in my area, cause I always see their CDs as one of the "recommended artists to listen to" which is just the stores way of saying "we sold a lot of albums and are popular but that top twenty/fortybestselling list is too mainstream for us" at my FYE.

So... cool, I guess.

Well where is metal big anywhere really. The communities are usually scattered all over the place.

I bloody love Opeth. Thanks for the link, from the one song I've heard on youtube, this seems a massive change from previous albums, but it makes sense considering Mikael's obsession with 70's prog.

Yeah I love these guys too haha.
Exactly, I really want to have the corporeal version to go on walks with and whatnot but I can definitely hear Mikeals jazz influences that he always talks about as well as the prog that he loves.
It's a bloody lovely album though, a real testament against the thought that metal heads only like/can play metal.

Very much liking what I've heard, I'll definitely try and get the version with the 5.1 DVD mix to go with my Blackwater Park one.
