The human race goes one step closer to total laziness.

So far this will probably stay in Japan because it's a service in partnership with a Japanese food delivery business, but that's too bad.

The Japanese have some fantastic takes on "Fast Food", sure they have some westernized ideas but I did catch a program about one of their eastern fast food restaurants. They did traditional Japanese food quickly, it was pretty impressive actually and it was found to be much more popular.

This is a pretty good system imo, at least it cuts out the problem of looking for a menu.

Man they've been running an ad campaign as of late that promises (and I paraphrase) that "even though there aren't many channels yet, we're working on it so hang with us." I guess this catering channel is what they meant.

I'm afraid to think of how expensive it might be though. Here in Japan even a ~9 inch pizza costs around US$20 to order.

I just want to know what kind of pizzas they have and how much they cost. If they have pepperoni, or are less than $30 for a large (pizza prices in Japan are insaaaaane), I might consider getting a Wii.

And I'm not really seeing how this is any more lazy than ordering online or ordering on the phone. Heck, you've actually got to physically move around some to order your pizza this way.

Alas to many people had Heart attacks during beta testing so it was never released :)

wasn't there a plan like this in WoW, i while back.... order food from an guy in game, and it'd arrive soon after?
In Everquest 2 (only on North American servers, I think) you could use /pizza to bring up the Pizza Hut menu and order pizza. That may be what you were thinking of, I never heard about Blizzard planning to use it in WoW.
I think WoW used it as an April Fool's Joke where it pretended it partnered with Panda Express or something...
