Organized Crime

Hello my fellow Escapists,

Organized crime has many forms. From the thugs that go and wreck someone's car for no serious reason to ridiculous and possibly deadly punishments.
Today, I've seen on the news talking about an Albanian builder that was Prickled (By prickled I mean the broomstick they fitted through his rectum up to his lungs.) by the Albanian Mafia here on Greece and more specifically, Crete.
I don't know what he must have done to deserve that kind of punishment. Maybe he charged more for his work or he might have looked a bit too close into the family business. All I know is that the guy's condition is considered seriously.
These mobsters act like there's no one to control them (and that's probably cause there isn't), with no respect to anyone.
At the moment, even the waiter in my local cafeteria is packing. Note that packing is strictly forbidden.
It seems like the hole world is falling apart!
All I'm saying is something must be done to contain them or at least for our government to allow us (citizens) to carry a piece for self defense.

the problem with orgenized crime is their is little evidence to make arrests or convictions....a lot of the time the police know whats happening but cant do shit about it....

kinda makes you wanna take to the streets like the punnisher or harry brown

Yeah, carrying a peice seems like a bad idea for peace. It sounds like more people would be shot than from the Mafia. Just tsay out of their way, dont piss them off and youll be right.

Good point, but i dont know much about them, i didnt even know they actually had leaders to be honest. I sorta thought they just did all that crap on a whim and with leaders being anyone with an idea...

I guess "prickled" means they made him walk across a patch of grass with no shoes on until he stepped on one of those sharp prickle things. These monsters will stop at nothing - when will the madness end?

I want to say that the Mafia and large organized crime groups from back in the day has worked its way into the government. "Organized" crime now pales in comparrison to what it was years ago. I wouldnt call the thugs we have now organized, there are no longer huge thought out heists mostly just idiots shooting at other idiots.

Organized crime to me is making a buisness out of crime which we dont have. Gangland now is more about hurting the other guy then it is making money. I am sure it lives on quite a bit more in Europe then it does in the states but as I said I truly believe that the old crime syndicates have worked their way into the government while the gangsters we hear about now are either druglords or people in brightly colored outfits shooting at people in other brightly colored outfits.

I mean how often do you hear about some gangbanging punk having senators and lawyers in their pockets? There is just so many things wrong with the way crime has set itself up in todays world. The idea of crime is to be in the shadows and to make sure no one hears about it. Yet we have idiots running around running their mouths about how cool they were holding up some gas station and shooting some idiots. Their leaders have gone and what we have left is the sociopaths that simply join up to kill other sociopaths with weapons they dont know how to use so there is much more collateral damage.

I guess the point I am trying to make is that organized crime is dead and buried and what we have now are roaving gangs of raiders looking simply to make money in the short term instead of looking at the big picture which is what organized crime truly is.

Just look at the border drug trade in Texas, los Zetas and la Familia are very organized and VERY dangerous.
