Like the majority of people who have iTunes or a similar audio program, my music collection somewhat resembles that of a clusterfuck. Since I have over 4000 songs, organizing my music manually would be quite an endeavor; does anyone know a good program that does this automatically?

1. Since I mistakenly bought some music from the iTunes store a couple years ago, I am stuck with this software.
2. Syncing with iTunes does only work one way, which is unfortunate. I can deal with this, though.
3. When I say "organizing," I mean that I'm missing a ton of album names, artist names, cover art, and I have a considerable amount of songs called "Track 1."

I found iTunes so overcomplicated to use that I just started manually doing my music collection with folders, and using VLC.

There IS a program, I've seen a commercial for it on tv, it organzises everything, names all songs and retrieves all artwork in a flash... so they claim. Hold tight and I'll find it for you.

Well if you still have hard copies of the stuff, just rip them all over again. Doesn't iTunes have a feature that finds this stuff for you anyway?
I think iTunes will only pull up the information if you originally bought the music from the iTunes store OR if you ripped the music directly from the original CD. If you picked up the music from somewhere else or got MP3s from a friend, you'll have to track down and input the information manually. I'm not sure if there's a way to add the cover art manually.

Don't you have some of the songs in the library organized by author or something? If not, you can sort by artist anyway. Then, you can make a seperate playlist and dump all them in there, or make multiple playlists for different genres or something.

Give this a try.
Just downloaded TuneUp Gold. Thanks for the suggestion!

Will post results once I run the program.
