EA seems to have learned a few lessons of Steam as of late, with a 70% off sale.
What do you all think? Could this be a good sign of EA's future.

One things for sure, this has happened:

Thanks! I just picked up Dead Space 2 for £2.99 :) The humble bundle left a gap.

OT: Wow what's going on with EA these days? first the humble bundle, then a pretty cool digital refund policy (something you wont get on Steam), and now this?

Maybe EA has realized that only doing the exact opposite of the good stuff Steam has done isn't what "competition" means. And look! They even did something good all on their own with that digital refund thing. Maybe EA really is rethinking things since whats-his-face left.

Thanks for the heads up!

Now if only EA could implement a wishlist system with email notifications like the one on Steam.

Too bad Syndicate still costs more than I'm willing to pay for it.

I'm not sure if that's a commentary on how bad it is or not considering it's $6. >.>

A little bit of both actually. I'd pay $6 for it, but since Israel is considered a part of Europe in Origin, the price here is 15 Euros.

Believe it or not, but Origin does do sales, usually 2-3 times a month. Not as frequently like steam, but they do, do discounts.
All to often those sales are limited to the US region. (believe me I've checked) but this one isn't.

EA learning? Took them long enough.

I suppose they are not completely backtracking, after all they said it wouldn't be doing 75% off.
