Have fun on your suspension.sanquin said:I've pirated some games for the sole reason of not having to install steam with it.
And having a really small library, I own more games on Steam or Impulse than are available on Origindragsaw said:so it seems its not so evil at all just kinda crummy
I felt the exact same way when Napoleon Total War told me I needed Steam to play. At this point, Steam was very foreign to me and I did not trust it. Origin isn't BAD - I think it looks better than Steam although their sales suck.sanquin said:I have two major gripes with it:

There was a clause in the terms of conditions which did say they wanted access to the computer. If somebody can be bothered to copy and paste it - it would be appreciated.Vault101 said:its not so bad to use (and ME3 is worht playing)
however I dont know what the deal is with checking your shit on your computer...so theres that (if it is true)

Not that Steam is perfect or anything, but what do people do that gets it to actually crash? I can't even remember the last time it crashed on me, and considering that I can't find any record of it in any logs anywhere, the last time might have been before the current incarnation of this computer, which I haven't reinstalled the OS or Steam on since around the time the Win7 RTM came out in 2009. It's been running on pretty much a daily basis since then too. Of course, I'm one of those weirdos who's never, ever had offline mode not work, so I could just be a freak. I dunno, sometimes it just crashes. Launch a game, crash, browse the store, crash. Not very frequent, but it can happen occasionally.Nalgas D. Lemur said:hazabaza1 said:It's been fine for me.
