Hello folks
Today I downloaded the mass effect 3 demo and "what is this".
It says I require an Origin account, however does not give any ways to create one (like the ubisoft playpass thingy).

I must say I'm both bewildered and confused

Wasn't Origin EA' Anti DRM PC charm, what is it doing on my xbox.
And why is it not even working properly?
And what does this mean for my future purchase of ME3?

Yours truly, a confused xbox360 owner.

I had heard someone mention this...but I was hoping it wasn't true. Evidently you need an Origin account in order to play ME 3's multiplayer. As for what it's doing there, no real answer for you other than EA has proven once again what a bunch of pricks they are. It's stuff like this that makes many gamers really, REALLY hate EA.

It is just a regular, old EA account. If you ever had an EA title in your library you probably have one otherwise it should be rather easy to create one in game. Otherwise, just go to https://www.ea.com/profile/register?returnurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ea.com%2F and get it done there.

Oh, and welcome to the glorious world of mandatory account for everything,
Sincerely
Every Pc gamer since 2004.

It's really not so bad a thing. Like Lordmarkus said, you probably already have one. If you have Dragon Age, Mass Effect 2, The Sims 3, Kingdoms of Amalur, The Old Republic or any of a host of other EA games, you've got one. It's actually really convenient, at least for me. One company putting out the majority of games I play. All with one account. And the cross-game promotions are fun. Armour in ME2 for playing Dragon Age? Sure. Weapons in ME3 for playing Amalur? Yes please.

You don't have to install Origin you just have to create an EA/Origin account on the web. I had to do this for BF3 & to get access to battlelog. Just make sure not to accidentally install Origin, they will try to trick you to do it.

I have no idea but I doubt it. I meant when you go to create an Origin account on your computer.

I hope i dont have to do that on my ps3...
cause that will end any chance of me buying an EA game again, i know too much about origin to trust it in the slightest...
Ok i will admit my info could be outdated by now, but the fact that the stuff was done in the first place still puts me off.
