Original Character's Thread Time!!!:Darkstalkers.

After my first test Thread [Skullgirls], I decided to create another one with a more well-known game:

Darkstalkers

I realised a game series like this with a lot of history behind it, it would have more awesome OC characters to share, and you if you like to post of course.

The first OC characters I will post it will be the first winners of the contest "Embrace the Dark"

Here are the first 3 winners:

Relic

"Undead face (skeletal), wrapped in turban, body is decaying flesh, dressed in Arabic sand attire. Shoulders covered in rusted pauldrons. Legs mummy wrapped. Leather straps with buckles across body. Used to hold weapons collected from warriors graves. Has King Midas' hand attached to his right forearm; still infused with the golden "touch spell" , also carries a still very alive Medusa's head to turn foes to stone upon a gaze."

The whole idea of an undead stealing mythical powerful weapons from dead heroes, is cool as hell!!!

Aria Nightweaver

"Aria is a sexy-looking spider-woman, with extremely-long hair, and 4 additional arms.
She lives in a cavern under a waterfall somewhere in earth-realm. As a mother of hundreds or maybe thousand children, finding food for them is getting harder in this dark age, preys are getting scarce since they are all afraid of the darkstalkers. One day, she heard about the appearance of a very large bee, "hmmm... a human-sized bee? that sounds delicius" she mumbles.
And so she sets her feet to the outside world to find this nutrious meal for her and her children"

Very good art and a "cute" story for this character.

Oleloque

"Oleloque appears as a young boy in pajamas and a hooded cape, which hides his eye sockets from view. The hood bears the insignia of a crescent moon. Oleloque also wears an hourglass held near his waist by a shoulder strap, and goes barefoot"

The artwork isn'r so good and the description isn't the best, However one of his special moves are Freaking RADICAL!!!

I also realised Relic, the Undead graverobber, have the well-known ten commandments tied with chains to the feet of Cerberous............F*CKING.......STUPIDLY......AWESOME!!!!!!

Cool always liked the Darkstalkers cast its up there with Guilty Gear imo for overall most standout cast of a fighting game in history also I am loving the Resurrection release Darkstalkers 3 is awesome 2 not so much I have a feeling I will be playing Vampire saviour 2 for quite some time and ofc Skullgirls when the characters get released then I can make my team especially if one of my favourites in the vote gets through.

I would have posted a picture but cant seem to get it to work from the site and cant find another picture although its true I didnt look to hard.

Cant wait to see whos in Darkstalkers 4 oh right there wont be one we will probably get friggin SF Alpha 4 instead (or something) or SF 5 but SF5 wouldnt be too bad as long as they actually changed those atrocious character models.

Also I think they already hint inside different games that they will bring Darkstalkers at some point.

Huh Stanley nah not a fan of him I am going for Eliza and Minnette mainly but it was Sabrine or Sabrina (cant remember the exact name) anyway the Zombie Pirate chick who we cant vote on she was the one I was going on about for a while before my dreams were crushed ah well at least I will have Squiggly no matter what for the Valentine, Squiggly tag team.

I would be surprised if we did see another Darkstalkers game apparently the sales figures werent high enough for resurrection only being decent apparently but to be fair I am not sure what they were expecting most people have never heard of the game because of them seemingly unwilling to market it throughout its existence or even release it in Europe. Most players who still play it would probably play it my emulator while other fans would probably have one of the few releases they have redone over the years so they would really be just buying it for online play.

I bought it because I had never had the chance to play it before and I was amazed seriously Vampire Saviour 2 is up there with their best ever I just dont know why they dont give the series some love, it plays great and has great art design and a fantastic cast hell people still play it in tournaments not bad for a game released 15 or so years ago. I know they dont want to take risks but jeez they could at least market it a little especially since the update is actually quite a tidy effort.

Darkstalkers 4 and CVS3 are the two games that I would love from Capcom in the fighting genre but I dont think its going to happen the one they have an excuse but not for Darkstalkers 4, its a series they should have pushed but instead have pretty much abandoned and just steal some of its characters from time to time especially Morrigan whos up there with Ryu, Chunli and Mega Man really in their mascot stakes although it looks like they are trying to send Mega Man to join Captain Commando.

A ghost character base of course the Mexican celebration "The Day of the Dead". Again, not something super cool in my opinion, but her attacks are beautiful and very true to the Darkstalker series:

Azael

The very classic "Last Boss" type of character. Looking f*cking evil and is super powerful. One of the most well develop characters from all entries. Open the below link to see why:

Bogey

Yeeeaaaahhh. The most generic look and name from all the winners. BUT WAIT! THERE IS A REASON WHY THIS CHARACTER LOOK SO GENERIC!!!

Bogey's attacks are unique for every single character he face.
In other words, the idea behind this character is to take a form that it is effective to defeat his opponent!!!! How cool sound!!!!

Luka Khim

Maybe this artwork look lame to your eyes, but please tell me when it was the last time you saw a chimera as a little boy? Indeed, I don't remember either. Very unique take of the well-known mythical creature.
Also everytime he attacks different part of his body tranform in different creatures. True again to the spirit of the game.

Wendigo

The only winner of this contest without an artwork. Why you ask? read please below:

Description: Quite varied in North American lore. 15 feet tall. Long arms. Mouth full of sharp teeth. Patches of rotting fur. Large glowing yellow (or red) eyes. 2-Dimensional (paper thin) so invisible from side view thus able to sneak up on lost travelers in the woods.
I think is a nice idea though I would prefer the head to be part human part stag (or human/bear or human/raven as stance requires).

Character would have 3 stances - Stag, Raven, Bear - with the creature's head morphing to display stance. Stances can only be changed during teleport. Player can choose which form emerges from teleport by holding down appropriate button; can also choose where teleport positionally ends. Stag stance is rushdown with sharp lacerating antlers.Bear is grappler great for holding/trapping opponents in corner. Raven has enhanced aerial skills with some keep away.

Native American mythos says this monster results when a human resorts to cannibalism and becomes possessed by a Wendigo spirit. He then transforms into a bestial monstrosity with an unending hunger for human flesh. The only way to kill one is to melt its heart of ice.
