It's been in the entretainment news all day here that Demian Bichir is nominated for best actor for a better life. To be honest i hadn't heard of the movie before that but i wish him the best.

Just, our hopes of Rooney Mara winning best Actress is down the toilet. Also, why isn't it up for best adaptive screenplay? Wouldn't it count because it was from the novels?

This year's list is a joke. Melissa Mccarthey gets nominated for Bridesmaids? So if I were to grow a vagina, put on weight and shit in a sink on camera, I'd get an Oscar nomination?

Also, where are the noms for Drive and Senna? Argh.

I think the fact that she is an overweight woman means EVERYTHING as to why she got the nomination. Imagine if she was an average sized dude who did the same role. People would cringe and not think twice of the role and character. Even an overweight man, it'd be Zach Galifinakis doing his thing. if it were a slender dude doing it, it'd basically be Stiffler from the American Pie movies. It's a load of shite. When people like Ryan Gosling or Albert Brookes (yeah, I'm one of the big Drive fanboys) get snubbed while that gets a fucking nomination. It's a fucking joke.
