I'm in the midst of learning to program.

What language are you learning? If it's C++ how good is the resource for applying the language once you've learnt it? The one I'm using looks like it teaches the basics of application but focuses on the individual commands.

OT: I skate, am learning to program and trying to get better at animation. I don't have what I need to start the next bit so I have plenty of time to focus on programming. I also read political and philosophical books, but they aren't limited to that, I do enjoy the odd novel once in a while.

lots of reading, learning irish, flunkyball, me and a few friends organize a monthly party at a club and a few concerts a year, i am a huge fan of good tv-series.

I'm pretty big on reading (I know, I'm original, huh?), Superhero comics and cartoons, basketball, and hiphop.

Woodwork, i like making stuff and carving it to look nice, which is extremely useful because it means i don't have to buy as many gifts for birthdays and Christmas.

I play the drums a lot and want to pick up some more instruments like piano or saxophone. I'm more of a music lover than a games lover. I play mostly hardcore/metal and used to be in a pop-punk band

I also buy/collect/read a lot of comic books. Over the last two years I've spent nearly £400 on catching up on all the comic books I've missed out on. My biggest collection is Batman, with Green Lantern a close second
Oh, and I buy and watch loads of TV box sets, mostly sci-fi like Battlestar, Fringe, Star Trek etc
I think most of my hobbies are pretty 'nerdy', besides playing music
I've never ever been a sports fan
