So when I turned my computer on today I noticed the "Other User" account on my computer. For the life of me I couldn't recall if I had seen it before. My first reaction was to delete it by going through the control panel and all that jazz. But there is no account named "Other User" on my list of user when I go to the manage section of My Computer. Any ideas how I would get rid of it?

Damn, this happened only once at my old work. Since we were always in need of machines--and in a hurry, we just reformatted it. There appears to be one good thread about this issue on SevenForums though.

The guide has the user poking around the registry, which I haven't had to do since XP. You had better get to the Advice Forum or something. I think the biggest mistake one can make when messing with the registry is probably overconfidence.
My guess is that you might accidentally have activated the guest account which, depending on your OS, might not be listed directly next to any regular accounts.
