Yo.
I thought it kinda looked like True Detective.
Which gave me another reason to be hyped.
I also loved the first one, Whistleblower and all, firmly on board the hype-train for this one.

Nice teaser. I see they've got that authentic southern flavour going already; thumbs crossed that it's set in your home state, Taco! :D

That would be flattering but also awful; I don't want to be suckered into some insane shenanigans again!

As much as I enjoyed the first one...is this a game that real deserves a sequel? Especially since the DLC expansion was basically just another game?
What more can they add?! What was missing that needed to be there?

Interesting, I liked how the camera turned to reveal the Cross of St. Peter.
Certainly made it fucking creepy, for me at least.

Concerning the sequel, I hope we see a some connection to the first one.
As you see...

In the original game, Miles was shot, but...
In Whistleblower you see a figure that is possibly Miles in the end, possessed by the Walrider.

I hope to see a connection or continuation, I found it very interesting.

Mm, I personally want to see it go in a whole new direction, just with the Outlast title and feel, which it likes like they'll probably do.

But I didn't think about the possibility of a far set sequel until you brought it up and I could go either way.

I went and watched Markiplier play Outlast after this trailer went up and there's a note near the end of the game reminding the scientists not to get caught up thinking the Walrider is some fantastical being, don't buy into whatever the inmates think or say about it; it's much greater than man, to be sure, but it's simply an illusion of godliness.

Although it plays like a ghost and might as well be, it's technically a cloud of nanites.

But what would you think if you saw it and didn't know what it was?

I can totally believe in the idea that maybe the Walrider found it's way to some small town and the people there started a satanic cult around it, why not?

So in the new one we're a black person in 1950s Alabama?

That is absolutely terrifying. o_o

I liked the first one. I have Whistleblower but I haven't played it yet. The ending didn't satisfy me though.

If it's about crazy southerners then frankly I am terrified because that means I'm probably going to have to confront people that look like those twins...

To quote Kevin Smith when he learned of BeetleJuice Goes Hawaiian was a script in production:

"Really, didn't we say all we needed to say with the first one? Must we go tropical?"
