The Binding of Isaac has that to a lesser extent, you fire your own tears and get upgrades.

How about a gun that shoots cuddly puppies that try to hug you but explode on impact?

Ok, the last time I brought up this topic, the results were less than inspiring.

"Dude, lets make a gun that, like, makes people inflate and then, like, explode...wicked. Duuude"

Disappointing to say the least.

- Think of something that takes skill and discretion to use.
- Think of things that you would not normally consider to be a weapon. (Money, Animals, Daisychain IEDs, Civilians, etc)
- Think of something that has moral implications.
- Think of a weapon that, in a video game, you would consider not using because you would have to ask yourself some difficult questions...

Even if you have to craft a game around these responses, I'd like to hear them.

A gun linked intravenously to someone's blood stream that when fired crystalizes the iron and magnesium in blood to weaponized form.

The more you use it the weaker you get.

So be wise.

I want to be able to run around in an FPS with a hose that shoots oil slicks.
If you leave the slick on the ground, enemies and allies lose their footing and have to recover.
Or you can shoot oil at people.
In both cases, the oil can be ignited by fire weapons.

You would need to get a good hit to deliver the toxin load but it would slow them down massively as they shuffled about having ass spasms with shit running down their legs. You would also have to watch out for the puddles of liquid shit on the floor in case you fell over in one and contracted dysentery.

A gun that turns the person you hit invisible, and their health slowly drains. Nobody can see them, nobody can heal them, nobody can hear them, heh.

The un-shield: Instead of blocking projectiles, it accelerates them. It's a device you can plant on the ground which makes any nearby projectile travel faster and deal more damage.

The ATdC (Anti-Thermodynamics Cannon): It launches projectiles which bounce and travel even faster after doing so.

A weapon which freezes in time parts of the enemy, so if for example you freeze said enemy's arm and he runs towards you, he will actually leave his arm behind! (messily or not, depends on the game).

Telekinetic bullets: each bullet has inside a very powerful (albeit tiny) brain which gives the bullets psychokinetc powers, so they can teleport, be fired in arcs and even consider themselves who deserves to die, so they may turn against the one who shot them.

OH!!!! A Singularity gun. It shoots dense balls of energy that have a massive gravitational pull that pulls enemies, objects, it can even pull parts of the environment if its that kind of game. and than it detenates and just... mayhem...
