Ok then, at school yesterday me and some of my friends were playing soccer, and kicking the ball up against the wall, then this really disliked (in my personal opinion bitchy) teacher walks by. Being my turn to kick I lined up, kicked the ball, which, completely unpredictably, flies off the wall and into the face.
Now here's the really stupid bit: She yelled at me to go over to the assistant principal's office and while there she told him that I had assulted her!!! And to top it off the Assistant Principal just says, " she thinks you did it on purpose, take what you have coming".

Is it just me or is this a colossus over-reaction?

Be proud and claim you did do it on purpose.

It is an over reaction however, if I was her I'd get you back in some other way.

At least you have an alibi, ie. the crowd that saw the ball bound off the wall and into her face. She must have been pretty pissed though. You did apologise, riiiiight?

Goddamn double posts.

This reminds me of when our Scout master got hit in the face with a football. He had to go home for the rest of the day. So it would make people pretty pissed.

/ran out of conversation.

Anyway, teachers have to put up with punks all day, is it really suprising she goes off when she gets hit in the face?

If I did that, I'd probably just say I did it on purpose.

Seriously, be proud of it and act all badass about it

Have the police been called? The police came to our school a few times. The worst was when one of the teachers was spiked with acid. They literally locked us in and searched everyone in the whole damn school.

I hated my school with a passion.

Obviously it was an overreaction. I'd just ignore these forum trolls, apologize and hope she doesn't press charges.

As "badass" an incident as some folks might call it, it's really NOT, it can eff up your life in more ways than one.

That sounds like a pretty bad school. I am glad to be out of high school, no more immature people to deal with.

One of your teachers got slipped ACID....thats hilarious!

All the dicks at my school did was hit the bloody fire alarm.

OT: Yes it's an over reaction, but hell it probably hurt her.

I'm curious about a few things.
1. Has something similar to this happen before?
2. How would you classify your distaste for the teacher?
3. Did you apologize to her, just laugh in her face, or a mix of both?

From my point of view given that I have only your perspective on this incident it appears that not only did the teacher over react but it seams like she capitalized on this golden opportunity to pin you to the wall. If this was an accident, then I would take this a bit farther so long as I had the ability to justify my stance in this incident. however given her reaction and the unanswered questions it seems unlikely that you can justify your innocence. It's basically your word against hers.

Yeah, one of our teacher back in high school had his coffee spiked too ... He was mowing an imaginary lawn in front of the class for a few minutes... A few months later, they put some laxative in his coffee... Poor guy ran out of the classroom...

so yeah, teachers can have it rough, so it's a bit normal when they receive a hit on the head to do something a little crazy. Just accept it for now, it's probably only having to stay later at school once or something like that?

You might not like her, but apologize to her like you ould to any other elder, explain your situation(including your hatred of her)to the principal. Explain everyting, and the truth shall set you free or get our ass expelled, depends on how you do it.

You're getting punished for it either way, so claim it was deliberate and enjoy getting sexed up by all the bad girls who think you're a hero.

Damn that's messed up, spiking anyone with acid is just so wrong. I'm not anti drugs as such, but it has to be a choice. I'd certainly want the police investigating that kind of thing, it's a big step from laxatives, tho to be honest, even laxatives could have a unexpected side effect.

Ok , the laxative thing is funny tho, I'm just saying ya should keep pranks well away from anything that can do real harm.

As for this incident, I'd want it at least known to the principal that I had no intent of hitting her, and it was sheer bad luck, and I'd take a detention or whatever, but I'm going to do anything in my power to keep 'assault on a member of school staff' out of my record.

What is your history of getting on with the teacher like? (sounds not great from your OP). This may have something to do with her reaction. If the two of you don't get on then she may really think (wihin reason in her mind) that you did it on purpose.

Sounds like yes, she over-reacted going on what you say but from her perspective she may not have.
