Do you think that, maybe, this year is a little overcrowded with FPSs with great multiplayer?
First off, considering how well MW1 did, I doubt MW2 will have died by the end of the year. BFBC2 is already out. Halo Reach and Medal of Honour are set to come out in Autumn. And, of course, Call of Duty: Black Ops will most probably be out this year.

That leaves us with 5, potentially triple A titles which all/will all have full incredible multiplayer. Now, is it just me, or do others feel a little spoilt for choice? Why the sudden influx? It used to be CoD vs Halo last couple of years, is this perhaps a splitting point for multiplayer? Will different multiplayer styles lead to giving people more choice, will things change from "I play CoD because I prefer modern shooters" to "I prefer Battlefield because of it's large, tactical, and more team-based multiplayer" or "Halo's fairness in that it gives everyone the same choice of weapons makes it a more skillful online mode".

Personally, I think yes, the different styles will split the online community much more than just "every1 plays MW2 because it's teh bestsellar".

Your thoughts?

hmm going to have to agree with you in that I think the is gonna be a "style" of FFS for everyone really. I like CoD but now I've started playing M.A.G I find I prefer it's more "your just a cog working to help the whole team" style. I think that everyone has their own preferences and the more different type of online FFS's the are the better.
