Yeah I love everything about Overwatch except ironically playing it. Oh I bought it and sunk a good few hours in, did the beta too. But I just, can't be fucked now. The whole "play your class" "be a team" thing just turns me way way off. All I wanna do is be a goofy idiot doing my own thing and the more I do that the worse I'm playing the game and the angrier people get at me and the less I wanna play it. Now that everyone else is already super duper elitist max level pro gamer good at every class theirs nothing for me to get out of it anymore.
I hope to god it gets some kind of other modes, I bought it hoping it will, man I hope it does. Blizzard has 7 million sales, if they actually cater to some different types of gamers they could triple that number I reckon.
Also Widow is best girl, any other choice is simply scientifically incorrect.

Eh its my fault really I've never enjoyed team games in any genre really for long stretches of time. But overwatch appeals to my tastes and interests artistically and in its overall presentation extremely given I am both an illustrator and an animator and a life long fan of both things and especially art styles exactly like the one blizzard went with. I've been dying my entire life to have a game that looks and sounds like Overwatch and has its exact tone and types of characters.Devieus said:

Overwatch has three characters: Mei, Tracer, and Widowmaker. Mei is the best because Japan something.
I've said it on Twitter so I'll say it here; it's clear the creators of Overwatch put a lot of thought and effort into the backstory, with a pretty good setting and some good work done to give backgrounds to its characters. WHich seems baffling to me since all that narrative work seems to have no connection to what's going on in gameplay. You've got clearly defined heroes, anti-heroes and villains, with established rivalries and alliances, but none of it has any bearing on the game, in which characters freely team up and mingle in the chaotic free-for-all brawl going on.
TF2 has it's own narrative, yes, but the creators clearly don't intent it to have more than a very slight bearing on the game itself, not to mention it's completely tongue-in-cheek. Overwatch's story, while it certainly has its humorous elements, seems from content and tone to be mostly serious in that action/adventure sort of way. But once the game starts, all that story becomes superfluous as any character can be fighting against or alongside any other character at a moment's notice. I guess in the end, the effort to give the game a more detailed setting and narrative is commendable...but it still leaves me wondering why they bothered.

As Torbjorn it sucks a bit playing from a stunted viewpoint but hey at least you're at eye-level for Widomaker's ass-ets. Makes the long hard slog to the frontlines bearable, heh.
