I'm just laughing because the community is up in arms regarding one of the worst pieces of content (game or otherwise) that Blizzard has put their name on.

People should be complaining about how lazy and shoddily-written the comic was, not about how Tracer magically became a lesbian.
I suspect I'm going to to regret asking this, but what makes this comic so bad in your eyes?

I'm not saying it's the greatest accomplishment in human literature, but it seems pretty inoffensive to me. It's just, "here are a bunch of characters doing Christmas stuff because it's Christmas." How much "shoddy" writing can you even pack into that?

If it wasn't for the gay thing nobody would have paid it any more attention than the previous comics.

Ahhh yes, Overwatch. Currently in the eye of a category nine shitticane. Banned from sale in Russia yet? I'm sure it's just a matter of time...

extreme reaction to having their cover-girl waifu getting "yanked away from them"

Thoughts?
I kind of feel the disappointment of the fans that wanted her as a Waifu because I was Hurt when it turned out Athena was Lesbian in Borderlands. Out of the Borderlands Chicks, she was the number 1 chick I would bang. Also she is still the most likable female Characters in the Borderlands cannon, after Lilith turned "heal" at the end of the presequel. Sasha from the tale tale series is my new Borderlands Waifu

There is one thing I have to add here. Why does OP's title say "violence ensued"? This is a mild argument on a specialised internet forum... There's nothing violent about that. I mean, if someone got punched for it then that would be violence but violence is an inherantly physical action so aome angry people on a webforum really doesn't justifty the title of this thread.

With that said, I don't really care. Cute, she's gay. Tastefully portrayed as well. Good job Blizzard. There's my reaction to the whole thing.

P.S. McIntosh's reaction is as bonkers as always I see. I swear, he could go on a rant about how a half full/empty glass of water is a sexist conundrum that reinforces gender biases or something like that. As someone hilariously pointed out already, McIntosh is like Reverse Milo including on fashion sense.

Obviously OP was using one of the obscure definitions of the word and not simply adding more sensationalism to their thread.

I was disappointed too though, I was expecting Overwatch riots.
