I wasn't too sure what to get my sister-in-law for christmas. I knew she likes retro games, cute stuff and sweets, so I combined the three and made her some Pac-Man Cookies.

Then I felt like sharing. Here's some pictures of the process:

A big ball of dough. I had to use twice the amount of flour in the recipe because it was so damn sticky.

Cut out ghosts (pro tip: put them on the paper, then start cutting.)

This is them just before they went in the oven...

...And this is just after they came out. They look a little like toast to me.

See that icing? It's mainly sugar and shortening. Being within a few metres gives you chest pains.

I made way too much icing. (reference screenshot in the background, M&Ms... all over the place.

All done!

Om nom nom nom nom!

They look tasty. Just wondering, what's with the six-point star cookies on the last picture?
There was a lot of leftover dough. I got some regular cookie cutters and cut stars and such just to use it up.

Oh, man...

All the epic condensed into cookie form...

I had to put on some shades so it didn't burn my eyes out of my skull...

Looks tasty. Seems that the ghost cookies want to eat the pac man cookie. But then that would be cookie-cannibalism...... WHAT HAS SCIENCE DONE?!?!?!

Cookies and classic gaming. Not only awesome but also an alliteration. This goes beyond "Epic" or "Internet Winner" in my book. It needs a new term...

Packman and the ghosts would have been epic on their own, but adding a the cherry was brilliant.

How delectable.

And M & M eyes, this looks like a meal fit for a king.
A king destined to get diabetes from eating it.

How many teaspoons of awesome did you use in the recipe?
9000. Any more and it would have become unstable.

Thanks to anyone else who has commented. Glad you like them so much. Recipes here [http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Gingerbread-Cookies-I/Detail.aspx].
