I dunno... I think it's pretty unlikely that he'll be right a second time...
considering that hes been right around 30 times, with his score being around 50% accuracy which in business like this, considering he gets paid nothing for it, is amazingly high. so yeah its very likely.

I've already refuted several of Pachter's previous oracle readings and he clearly has an anti-Microsoft bias.
While I agree that a disc-less XBone would not sell well, it's hardly "one of the dumbest ideas of all time."
Patcher obviuosly has anti-nintendo, anti-Microsoft and anti-Sony bias. because whenever he says something bad about them there are always people proclaiming this. You know what, he just hates gaming and wants it to die obviuosly!
and discless gaming console is simply unfeasable. this is for the simple fact that many old world countries have despicable internet ifnrastructure that would look good in the 90s or early 00s, not in 2014.

That's because all he does is read gaming forums and then presents the majority opinion as his own thoughts and analysis.
because thats what analysts do. analyze. he may read game forums and see that majority of people are oppsoed to such idea, which means that they will not like it, hence it would not make them happy, makingit a dumb idea. if you are doing something that makes your purchasers hate you your doing it wrong. he sees that it would be one of those things because he analyzed the gamer demographic opinions. you know, being analyst.
seriuosly though, is it me or does most people here dont even know what analysts do?

Tell em about it Patcher! I love this guy. Never understood the hate. He seems mostly pro-consumer and while he is not always right, I never feel like he is being dishonest. Is it because he says things that upset fanboys?
if you say something on the internet once and it proves to be false, they will remind you about it for years to come, but if you were right, they will quickly forget it. therefore the more you talk the more hated you become, and Patcher talked a lot.
