So I've recently gotten back into Painkiller Black Edition and I just beat the first boss, you know the really big guy right before you meet Eve and she says you're doing it wrong and then I continued on to the next chapter (or at least I think it was the next chapter, I got confused) and first of all, I couldn't play the first level of it and second of all, now there's no sound to my weapons or the enemies at all? It's just the music. Has anyone had this problem before? Is it possible to fix it?

I imagine you have a machine with far more power then this game needs?
You might want to go into DirectX settings and turn down hardware sound acceleration a bit, older games frequently have issues with this.
