In hindsight, I probably should have titled it, "Painkiller: I certainly need one" but I guess that one worked too.

The issue here, I have wisdom teeth, being oh so wonderful. Between dosing myself heavily with mixtures of T3s and migrain strength advil, I still feel this pain. Cold doesn't fix it worth a damn, and I can't get the teeth in question removed for 8 more days, at least.

Any thoughts on how to at the very least numb the pain so I can friggin sleep (its been 66 hours)
Side note, can't drink due to everything else in my body, use of illicit substances would be out of the question as well.

Break your arm. You won't feel the toothache then. The brain can only actually process so much pain at one time.

NB. Don't actually do this.

Here's the irony. I can take pain. I've broken alot of bones (nothing major, mind you) and was completely unphased by it. This is just something that I can't block out, and its making me very upset.

All right then; try watching Marathon Man. That'll make you forget all about any pain in your teeth...

Cuprofen, Ibuprofen, its the only thing that works on toothache.

Most people are like that, toothache you just can't get away from.

Punch yourself in the crotch.

Seriously though, I often have pain because of my wisdom teeth (two on the right, for now) whenever I try to eat or just close my jaws. Ignore it, really.

Masculinity has little if anything to do with it. Pain so severe, that its causing either physical illness, or temporary loss of vision/rationale. This is a kind of pain that I wouldn't wish on an enemy. A kick in the junk would be a nearly welcome feeling in comparison, but my wife, being the compassionate monster that she is ...

Listen to Death) whilst doing your favorite hobby or playing your favorite game.

Partaking in my favorite past-time helps me a lot in forgetting just about everything. In your case, it will not eliminate the pain, but I think it'll help in lessening it.

lol, dammit youre not supposed to one-up me at this point...ok it could be worse you could have 3rd degree burns on most of your body, beat that one!
That would suck. Worst I had as far as burns, well ... I was having a cigarette in the nude, and I dropped it. No it didn't connect with anything important, but it was close and terrifying. Never again.

Edit - That laughter both hurt, but made the pain lessen afterwards.

Stop being a wuss. I've suffered a constant week of horrible pain after a tonsil surgery that lasted five times longer than it should (because they had to cut out a lot more than just tonsils), then another three weeks every time I took a breath, drinked, ate or moved. I could just lie, and I had to eat ice creams just to ease the pain a bit and eat something normal.

Yes, when I was in the hospital for the first 4 days, I had painkillers directly to my vein and it still hurt like hell. But then at home I could only take normal painkillers... that is, I would, if taking them wouldn't hurt my throat even more.

You'll get through it, just clench your teeth, that's what I did.
Oh.
Yeah, I just gave up on being without pain after the first two or three days. You get used to it.
The only real tip I can give you is to avoid eating/drinking anything hot or cold.

Damnit, My solution was to get drunk. Hmmmmm... More pain in a different place works fine for me. But try and make it a different type of pain to your toothache. The REALLY bad short lasting pain..

Your liver might not, though.
Or your GIT.
Depending on what painkillers you use.

Cloves! Chewing on a whole clove tastes like butt, but it can help tooth ache.

Also, if you have any muscle relaxing/pain relieving cream that does not have a menthol burn kind of feel ( DO NOT USE TIGER BALM OR DEEP HEAT), rub it around your jaw (not in your mouth, obvs.)

I had really bad toothache, and I had some nurofen cream left over from an old sprained ankle. I'd run out of painkillers, so in desperation I rubbed the cream on my jaw and it worked!
