Painkiller, slow but smooth?

Since Painkiller Black is on sale for $4 at GoG, I figured I'd check out the demo. I got demo #3 since it is the most updated. My specs well exceed the system requirements, but when I play everything moves really slowly, but not in a jerky fashion, it rather feels like I'm in some time dilation mode.

Anyone know what's up with that?

Painkiller didn't have vsync, i end up running it at 500+ frames cause of it. Should just force it with my GPU drivers next time.

Could work. It ran in slow motion for my brother too. You got lucky. For me it skips, and rockets explode in the gun. All sorts of weird things. I can't jump higher than 2 inches either.

...Multicore processors have to be like, the bane of older games.

Guess it's a good thing I've got a netbook with a single core Atom.

I have the same problem on the full version of the game; so just set it to 'one core' and it'll run smoothly? horray! ^^

oh yeah, I totaly forgot about the multicore thing, I used to have that problem all the time in tf2 but when I turned it off the game ran nice and smooth
