I've been reading and watching things by Yahtzee and he seems to like this game.

I saw on Steam that there is a sequel, and I'm sure I could track down the original.

So, which one is better? Or are they good at all?

I have both, theyre fun simple games. Very much in the Serious Sam style. Of course if your going to depend on yahtzee to play games you should just abandon all hope.
I never said that I obsess over his every thought, he just mentions them as good games a lot.

You yourself just said they were that, I don't "depend" on you on to what games, I want advice, that's the purpose of reviewers, remember?

Anyway, what game do you say is better? Or are they even? If so, which should I buy?

Painkiller is fun. Go for it. Just prepare for useless cutscenes.
EDIT: I prefer the first one. Dunno why, I just do.

Again, which game.

This is most of the purpose of the thread.

I was assuming they would at least be decent, but which game should I buy?

Not to sound like a brat or anything, just want to buy the better one.

Edit: That's one for the first game.

The original is the best.

battle out of hell is okay . .

And overdose is not bad. Thogh I've not finished it yet. But still, original is the way to go!
Thanks!

It seems a couple of people prefer the first.

I'll wait for a few more opinions, though.

Yeah, original is the only one I've played. It gets really boring towards the end though and I was sick of it by the time I finished.

Never went back to it.

Whoa there haha. I pressed the right button i see, good.

They are both about equal, i think the second one is a little more fogiving with the difficulty. Just be ready for a very fast paced game.
=p

I like games that make me tare my hair out in frustration, if they're still good it will better me in the long run.

Thanks for the opinions guys. I guess it's unanimous that the first is at least a little better.

Personally, I'd waste my money on something else. KOTOR or something. Painkiller isn't that great of a game, you might as well spend your ten dollars on something fun.

For the record, I don't hate FPSs, but I just found Painkiller to be incredibly boring all the way through.

What did you find boring about it?

No particular bit of it, I just didn't find it fun to play.

The weird thing is, it annoyed me. Something in the controls always felt soft to me, so I never really spent a lot of time with the game.

Interestingly, the week after that review went up I saw copies of the original Painkiller for sale at my local Blockbuster. I'm convinced the two are related, because to be perfectly honest I'd never heard of the game before that review.
