Painkillers install problems

I just got painkiller for the PC and I get it to install properly but I can not play it,dose anyone have any ideas

Mind giving a bit more info?
As in, do you get an error, does nothing happen when you click the .exe, does your computer crash?

Since, y'know... if we know what's actually wrong, we might be able to help!

It's an error message. Something about a Direct3d renderer failing to initialize. Been looking everywhere for an answer, but nothing has worked. I'm trying to run it on a laptop, specifically a DELL Latitude D610, btw.
