I'm starting this thread for all talk about paintball. If you play or work at a field give a shout out. If you interested in or have questions about paintball speak up. For those that do play and want something to talk about how about: What is your greatest paintball moment.

Mine would have to be in a 3-man local tourney. I'm in back-left and both my teammates get shot out. I shoot down the left hand tape and take their back left out. Quickly bump up to the left 30 dorrito. Peak out right side and take out the back right. Bump up to center dorrito, peak out the left side and take out the back center. Greatest moment in my life.

People go in with air powered, paint loaded guns. they shoot each other and come out painted. That's it.

What are the rules of paintball?
Although there are countless variations, usually it's two teams that compete against each other. There can be other objectives such as retrieving a flag and such. After the game starts if you get hit with a paintball and it breaks your out. Bounces or where the paintball doesn't break don't count. In team deathmatch or elimination when one team runs out of players the other team wins. In capture-the-flag the team that captures the flag first wins.

Ive got a good paintball moment.
In my 2nd match ever my freind and I are dominating, I took out 2 players and he took out another, and theres one guy left on the other team. In the middle of the field theres a giant inflatable X, Im behind a bunker on one side, the last guy is hiding behind a bunker on the other. I was just about to make my move when Bam! I got hit in the shoulder, I was pissed cuz he hadnt even stuck his head out. I found out after the match that his gun had jammed, and while he was trying to fix it, it had fired. The round bounced off the ground, bounced off the giant X, and then hit me. The fluke of all flukes. Still my team won, so it wasnt all bad.

Although I only play from time to time, not professionally either though just for fun. My best moment would have to be when we (Rather more than 3 on each team I might add) were attacking this little wooden Vietnamese-style village of about five or six huts. A fair few just charge in screaming most of which get shot and "die". Now there are maybe ten people on our team left when they have only lost about two.

I go up a ridge to the left so I'm out of sight and get round the back. I crouch down and right next to me appears a huge Geordie bloke out of nowhere who just says "Come with me" we sort of run while crouching completely around the back and we get to a hut. This chap takes out a smoke grenade (One of the rubbishy ones that you can buy there) chucks it through the door and everyone comes running out of the hut. Straight into the fire of other people he'd told to wait so they could shoot when this happens.

This goes on for most of the other huts with variations of the toned down flash-bangs you get when at the last hut he gets shot right in the goolies from someone in a bush a few metres away. I just yell and fire repeatedly at this person who I was seeing only as someone who should be in pain, a lot of pain. I got about ten-fifteen shots in before I realised I should probably stop.

Anyway, my bathetic ending. I ran towards the hut shot one chap in the head by mistake then the chest. Tripped up on the stairs as I was going into it (Finding out I later cracked two ribs doing so) and just let rip on the last two members of the team.

Rather a long story there but I enjoyed it, I felt like I was goddamn unstoppable.

The only time I've ever played paintball was when I was 14 years old.

My best moment was hitting someone.

Has anyone here ever used the paintball tank? They're expensive to use, and when I went paintballing, the enemy had one, and we didn't.

I couldn't find a picture of the one I was against, but it looks a little like this, but it didn't have the outer shell.

I'd give anything to've used it :(

Realize, I'm active duty Navy, currently, though I work on the medical side of things, and often very closely with the Army. I'm an E4 (Hospital Corpsman, 3rd Class), and a bunch of the different clinics decide to have some fun and go out and play paintball.

Somehow, I ended up being the only enlisted person to show up, everyone else was an officer of some sort, some army, some navy, all of them outranking myself. There were two particular things that happened during this day that I found particularly funny, one was at the beginning, one was towards the end, both involved Colonels.

The first was when we were crawling down a hill on our stomachs, using a thick log for cover, and the gentleman next to me for some reason was on his hands and knees. I yell over to him, "GET... YOUR @&!... DOWN!!!" I look over, and noticed his rank. After a short pause, "... SIR."

The second time was actually a couple of things involving the Colonel directly in my chain of command. Throughout the day, I happened to light him up a couple of times. (Since I was the only enlisted there, I was playing fairly aggressively, feeling as if I had to prove something.) He never did return the favor, though he came close. I was sprinting along the bottom of a hill to pull a flank on the opposing team. He saw me, and came down the hill after me. He told me this after the fact, I never even noticed him I was hauling tail so fast. Apparently, he got down behind me, was just drawing a bead on my back when... WHAP WHAP! His son caught him square in the back.

To this day, whenever I see the good Colonel, I ask when the next time we're going paintballing is :D

I still play with my old unit from time to time ...

We don't do tournaments, just rounds mixing the teams up. Best moment for me was running around a flat top and coming face to face with one of the other team. We were both stunned, but I recovered first and fired.

Too bad I was in a hurry, because I shot him in the crotch, then twice more in the thigh while bringing my gun up. I wasn't out or penalized because he was a good sport about it (although, later, he caught me going over the dorrito in mid-air and hit me square inside my right thigh).

Woodsball or bust.
I only prefer Woodsball on a good field. A lot of the fields around me are bad, really bad.

As my friend says, "Airsoft does not exist!" Plus when I played it, it was all honor system stuff and the people that I play with are not honor system people. In paintball there is an actual mark at one time or another, whether they wipe it off is another story.

Last round of the day on a pretty much massixe asterix field made up of tyres. We were playing a headshot only match to run ourselves out of balls. Pretty much you always have one exposed side. You have to be quick. first shot somehow rebounded off a tyre and smacked my friend in the face mask. everyone got hit a couple times in arms/chest until i had about 10 balls left. everyone else was firing air at me...

Nice fun run get as close as possible and fire thing.

to this day i am still the headhunter XD

I would really really really really like to paintball for once. My only adversion though, is the retarted look of most "guns". I would prefer to use more realistic looking guns, like this one:
I know that airsoft looks more realistic, but I still prefer paintball because paint means you can clearly see you're hit.

I've had some fun playing with a friend of mine who plays a lot more than me. (I'm more of a drag-along to get even teams.)
One time we were the only ones left, 1 vs. 1, and after some peeking around corners with some supressive fire we both peeked out at once and hit each other. I hit him square in the forehead, he hit me on the mask between my eyes. That was amazing.

A round later it was just us two left again. He was taking cover in the giant X in the middle, while I was behind a smaller cover. When we both stopped shooting to rethink our srategies I came up with a daring plan. I ran as fast and silently I coud over to the other side of the X. While he looked at my former position I stood up (the X was maybe 1m in height,) and shot him between the shoulder blades from about 1m-80cm range. Not wery honorable, but damn was it fun! He had a mark for about 2 months.

The next time we played, he got his revenge by hitting me 10 times from 8m away...

Well if airsoft does not exist why are there three airsoft sites near my old house? Not paintball sites that do airsoft, Airsoft sites. And the people who you play with are obviously jerks who would get kicked out by the Marshals at any decent site.

i paintball'd for one summer, i arouse to the rank of captin in the Mil-sim legue me and my friends joined and won mvp which caused much gloating on my part. my paintball gun is now stored in my closet along with my pokemon card, skateboard, snowboard and all the other fads i was into.

i do have a really good paintball story though, i was playing a game with medics (2 guys on your team could tag you when you were hit to revive you), me and my friends were all downed beside each other and the guys who shot us walked over to ask us if we were the last of our team (we were in the woods so its hard to tell when everyones down) when there team's medic came running in and taged all of us. for a moment we all looked at each other confused, i was about to ask if we were back alive when my friend screamed "BOOKER-G IT!!" and ran. I got about halfway through saying "what!?!?!" when the 4 guys standing around us opened up on me at point blank range. i took about 30 paint balls and was bleeding in 3 places, but at least they said they were sorry and one guy gave me a beer.
