Over here in Australia we use PAL (Phase Alternating Line). Over in America they use NTSC (National Television System(s) Committee or in the 1950's Never Twice the Same Colour). I'm telling you this this becasue these is the encoding systems used most commonly in games. Don't confuse them with their use in telvision and DVD's as NTSC and PAL are analog, and some countries have permanently switched to digital TV. All I want to know is this: just like Australia the UK uses PAL. If I were to buy a game from the UK and play it on my Aussie 360, do you think it would work? There are many varients of NTSC and PAL, but I think these only exist in DVD's and TV. I've read many forums to do with this, but I want to know if anyone from Aussie has bought a game from the UK and has got it to work on their 360?

If it's PAL then it will work regardless of whether or not it's from the UK. I know because my mate has loads of games from over there and they all work on my xbox.

Indeed. All PAL console games work on every PAL console. An Australian XBox 360 is as good as identical to an European 360. The Nintendo DS and (if I'm correct) PSP are even region free, so you can play any foreign game on your handheld.
