So we've been reading 1984 in english class recently. While it's certainly a lovely book, I've been having weird thoughts. Specifically, [a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doublethink"]doublethink[/a] and its paradoxical nature. Now, I like paradoxes. They can be fun. But in this instance my internet-wired brain brought up a paradox of its own.

Simply because I don't want to put my brain though the headache of considering all the posibilities of this particular paradox, I ask thee, Escapist:

Is it, or is it not, feasible to win [a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Game_(mind_game)"]The Game[/a][footnote]You lost The Game, by the way.[/footnote] by using 1984's doublethink?

Yeah, I'd say so. Repressing thoughts or memories works on a subconscious level and you only lose the Game if you consciously think of it.

There you win.

The best way is to not play. As you already know about it there is no way out. It a stupid little thing.
