I feel that I am a distinct minority at the moment, being possibly the ONLY person I know to have not only not have been scared by the above mentioned film, but to have absolutely hated it..
I would like some explanation as to the appeal, what actually made it frightening?
I found the acting to be poor, the haunting sequences either predictable or comical and the whole atmosphere to be almost satirical; there was no way any of it could even be jumpy, let alone frightening since every 'scary' sequence was brazenly announced by that unmissable throbbing sound.
After watching I looked online and saw the original endings as well: either of these would have been better than the stupid 'blockbuster gore fest' that was presented in cinemas as well..
If anyone else is of the same opinion as me please announce yourselves, I was so dissapointed by thsi film, especially since it had sounded so promising.
p.s. I didn't see any trailers before going so I had no idea what was coming, so thats not why I found it predictable - I flet that way because all the 'horror' events were exactly what you'd expect in a film like this.
I was also surprised to see that Movie Bob liked the string of clichés that is P.A. since he and I usually have very similar tastes in film.
