I've had to pick a few fleas off of me before, if they count.....Damn dogs...
If you have a flea infestation in your house. I came up with an effective way to deal with them. All it takes is a candle, a plate and any (non flammable) chemical. Just fill the plate with it and put the candle in the middle. Then leave the room for a while with the heat and lights off. The candle will be the only heat source and the fleas in your carpet will be drawn to it. but theyll either get caught in the chemical or directly into the flame, making a popping sound.

When I did it, it killed all of them in one go.

ahh the intestine parasites frighten me for some reason heh. Although like you said, they mostly wouldn't hurt, but still ugh, lol. I heard eons ago they use to eat their eggs on purpose so that they could help stay thin. It worked well until they ended up starving to death :/ Also, they can also like get all over your body, I heard a story of a guy that if you looked at his eyes.. you could see them swimming in there... guh...

50% of life on earth consists of parasites. it is almost inevitable that people will have one at some point in some way, shape, or form.

i have encountered parasites, although nothing life threatening.

Yes, I have. Back when I was 12, I had really long, curly hair. My mother and father only had one bed, so I had to sleep on the floor. The floor was covered in carpet and contained fleas. Needless to say, I had a large amount of fleas jumping around in my hair and biting me.

A tick or leech are parasites. Anything that lives off a host (if virus's were counted as living they would be classified as parasitic).

OT: Not to my knowledge.
actually the big difference is they leach off the host and steal from them rather than are welcomed by the host

as for me, no i haven't had a parasite

If anyone decides to post pictures in this thread, please use spoilers.

Anyways, the only parasite I've ever gotten is ticks. I hate ticks. They're a pain to remove and they look disgusting. Though I do find it fascinating that they can climb to your body and feast for such long periods of time without you noticing.

Not to my knowledge, i remember those creepy little Rectum parasites that i got as a kid, and i remember getting lice once from my bastard friend, but that's it.

I've had ticks, leeches, and a few fleas. But nothing that serious like the worms that crawl in your brain and you die a horrible death.
