Today I watched something completely unbelievable. Kind of horrifying. I was out on the balcony over-looking the playground area of the apartment complex where a couple were with thier two little boys. I'm watching, fascinated, wishing I could be with my own son who would be about the same age as thier littlest one. Still a toddler.

Well, the parents got tired of watching him slide down the little kiddie slide, so they decide to take him over to the big-kid metal slide. Oh dread. The mother goes up the ladder with her son and gets afraid because of how high it is. So she just drops the child down the slide by himself. The father down below, instead of trying to help the child slide down, stands back and just watches as he comes screaming down, head banging against the metal the whole way down.

I'm standing there, horrified. The parents just pick the crying baby up, tell him to be quiet, and then act as if nothing had transpired. As if nothing was wrong. With thier son. With themselves.

Crap like this makes me sick. I would give anything to be a parent to my children, yet there are so many actual parents out there who just don't seem to care.

I'm not sure if that's better or worse than completely bubble wrapping them.

Either way there has got to be a happy medium between the two. Because that is bad.

That's when you do the morally responsible thing.

A swift dropkick of justice!
Those assholes will never see it coming and you'll put a smile on a childs face, maybe not their child's face but one of the others will have witnessed the event.

It's seriously depressing huh? If you can't afford or be bothered to look after children, don't have them - simple solution. Why does everyone want a children regardless of their economic of social status? Give it some forethought.

My sympathy to you New Troll - I have a friend in a similar situation with his child.

I don't have children of my own, but when you hear about Reverends bitching about Gay adoption saying it's not the way it's "meant to be", then you see some Hetrosexual couple who abuse and ignore their child, you've gotta wonder - I bet that abuse "wasn't meant to be" either but it's allowed to transpire because hey, it's the way God wanted it to be.

Sorry, a there was a Newsreport on the radio this morning about a Reverend Parlimentary Minister (I know, I know) who was trying to talk to the Premiere of the state government to drop a proposed Gay adoption law.

In my state it's illegal for a 'single parent' to adopt a child. It's a polite way to say "No fags allowed" and my next door neighbor actually helped put the law into effect. :(

Sorry, but you saying "want a children" reminded me of "How is babby formed". :p

I'm with the OP in this one. That sucks hairless monkey ass.

Everywhere I go I'm surrounded by stupid parenting. How can I tell? Because I just cannot remember my dad ever telling me "shut up or I'll leave you here," which seems to happen sometimes when a kid is crying in the mall(I've seen it more than once). I mean, sheesh, people should be forced to take courses on parenting or pay extra taxes or something. It's just preposterous that people have to get a fucking licence to be allowed to drive a metallic-high-speed-killing machine so they can get to places, but are pretty much allowed to fuck up another life just like that(it's the little things, people, it's the little things).
