Something terrible is happening at the Institution for the Mentally Infirm! Your sister, Frances, has gone missing. She needs your help!
A Parsely adventure.
Parsely is a group text adventure. Remember Zork? How about Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy? It's like that, only a live person is parsing the responses instead of a computer.
"YOU ENTER A ROOM. IT IS DARK. YOU MAY BE EATEN BY A GRUE."
>light candle
"YOU LIGHT THE CANDLE. YOU CAN SEE."
>examine room
"THERE IS A GRUE HERE."
That's roughly how it goes.
I'll take the role of parser, describing the events as they are enacted. Whomever would like to participate can respond to the thread and issue a command. It has to be properlly formatted for me to react to it:
>go west
>examine key
>get potion
>eat cake
And so on.
Yes, there is a set list of commands. No, I'm not telling you what it is.
This will happen first come first serve. Whomever replies first will get priority, unless you issued the last command, in which case I'll pass priority to someone who hasn't taken a turn yet. I will generate error messages based on your commands. I'll try to keep them creative because that's part of the fun!
Special commands include: HELP, INVENTORY, SAVE, LOAD, REMEMBER, SCORE, QUIT.
