Pathetic glitching.

So, most of us gamers have seen it before, either a guy humping a rock in Call of Duty World at War to get under the map, a machine gun that sends you flying who knows where in Left4Dead, or (in some cases sort of glitching) sitting in the middle of an open map waiting to get a super special hat! In most cases, glitching is pretty pathetic, but sometimes very entertaining when you just want to play around. Have you glitched before, if so what game? If you haven't, have you seen any pathetic attempts at glitching?

Not in multiplayer, but I've gotten out of the map a couple of times in Fallout 3 and Oblivion, because of the walled-in city areas, and a few dungeon glitches in the latter. My acrobatics skill was just ridiculous, though. oO

I've glitched COD4 a couple of times during private matches. Like the escape from Crossfire glitch and getting under the map in Backlot. Nothing major, just that kind of 'I can do it, but it's kinda pointless' glitch

When i played call of duty 2 me and a bunch of my friends would play a certain map and i found a glitched spot that got me out of the map i could shot out but they could not shot in, it was fun to watch people avoid certain areas so they would not be sniped. I only did this like once every week cause they would get pissed I'm just a good sniper.

Glitching is kind of fun sometimes in single-player, or maybe in a small multiplayer match among close friends, but I consider it douchebaggery of the highest order for someone to glitch during an online multiplayer game. They either get an unfair advantage, which ruins the game for everyone who's actually trying to play, or they just screw around instead of helping out their team, which also ruins the game for everyone who's actually trying to play.

As for glitching alone, I've gotten to the point where I'd rather play a game, finish it, then play another one than mess around inside one game just to find flaws in the design anyway.

Ages ago in WoW when there were shitloads of terrain glitches in the battlegrounds (Alterac Valley not so much) and I got bored because the stupid retard Alliance guy with our flag was sitting up somewhere where no one could even hit him, I started climbing around and managed to get out of the gulch and onto some untextured floor. It's sort of weird how they don't just make a massive invisible wall which is completely flat and vertical so is unclimbable.

Also did the same on AB when I was bored :)

I NEVER glitch to gain an advantage over the opponents though, I hate it when people do that and I think everyone who does/did should be punished.

Back when I played WoW I was a huge advocate of wall walking, wall jumping, and model editing. Good ol' camp fire into dark portal & Strat into emerald dream model edits. ahhh

I love being in multi player and watching people trying to get in a certain glitch (usually CoD of some flavour) and killing them before they get in
Then I camp the glitch, and kill them before they get in
I'm not a fan of camping, but glitching is alot worse in my opinion, so I have to eliminate it
And they usually never learn...
Ahh, good times
