Why are you proud to be whatever nationality you are?
Personally I'm proud to be British because of some of the great people this country has made, like William Shakespeare, Isaac Newton, Richard the Lionheart and Winston Churchill.

No, I'm not proud of being Romanian, because it's a crappy country with absolutely no desire to push to be a developed nation. As mentioned in South Park, "it's the a-hole of the world".

I'm proud to Lithuanian because my country survived through more than 200 years of repression.

Not really proud of being Finnish or English, as i'm not sure i'm either one. One of the bad points of having your military dad drag the family all across Europe.

I'm not exactly proud of the Netherlands, yet I'm also not ehmm.. well un-proud. I just like to live here. We have cool laws, we can smoke weed legally you know. For a country as small as ours we do rather well actually. Yet we did some terrible things like slavery and some nasty colonialism, though I think that is in the past and should be forgotten.

Oh well I just think patriotism is bad. Patriotism is a sentiment that can cause wars. Not directly perhaps, and maybe a bit of patriotism isn't that bad at all, but if it's carried too far and becomes mindless patriotism, then it's just silly.

I'm proud of being Irish. We gave the world some of the greatest writers in history and gave the gaming world Havok.

Criminals, all of them! :p

Meh, I am pretty proud to be British. Our empire surpassed that of any other in history, we were at the forefront of the industrial revolution and civilization as we know it, we have come up with some of the greatest minds in known history and have been at the core of international relations and diplomacy for the past 200-300 years.

Patriotism is your conviction that this country is superior to all others because you were born in it.

I've never been a big nationalistic guy. Countries always change and the merits of your birthplace are pretty incidental unless you really contributed towards them personally.

I don't feel any pride for being British really. Sure, british citizens have done great things in the past but nowadays we're a pretty crap nation. The image of the mild-mannered gentleman has been replaced with loud, drunk and violent football fans.
