You know what's the weirdest thing? Adam Sandler has 3 Netflix Original Movies in production right now. 3. On Netflix, which is known for its quality control on par with HBO.ron1n said:Kevin James and Adam Sandler REALLY need to stop making films -_-
That is the thing, isn't it? Adam Sandler in particular can be a really good actor, a talented song writer and even a pretty good singer.President Bagel said:Or at least start making good ones. Really?President Bagel said:They're both talented actors, they're both sometimes funny,
This comes with a BIG citation needed, but I remember hearing somewhere that the reason that Adam Sandler makes mostly low-brow movies these days is because his low-brow films which are poorly received do better at the box-office than his 'better' stuff. And its a shame, because when Adam Sandler is good, he's really good.Roofstone said:That is the thing, isn't it? But he goes for the brows so low they might as well be pubes. So, his talent is wasted.
It really is quite a shame.

That's worse than many infamously bad movies like Catwoman. I'm so shocked. I'm even more shocked seeing all the reviews of it being so hilarious to read. They seem just short of "this film gave me cancer of soul" or "I no longer have reason to live when such filth sees the light of day"
But with such awful reviews and no recommendations to watch...I feel compelled to watch it now, even if I'm getting the impression this isn't a "so awful, it's entertaining" kind of film.
I don't think a hug fixes something that makes people think civilization is in decline and makes them feel they wasted so much time and money that they come off as depressed. It is a terrible day to be a film critic. I'm not saying what would work, but Pitch Perfect 2 definitely wouldn't hurt the situation. Booze too.NinjaDeathSlap said:"Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 is worse than that."
WORSE than Meet the Spartans?! Now that's bad...
Anyway, do you... need a hug Marter?
The problem is that he tried pulling a Tom Hanks and tried doing more serious roles (see: punch drunk love and spanglish) but they bombed financially (I like them and I know a few people that do as well). So he figured people only like his comedy roles. Yes the moviegoing public is responsible for this and J &J.Roofstone said:That is the thing, isn't it? I'll agree, that's most of his movie schtick, but King of Queens was basically Everybody Loves Raymond, with guest stars Jerry Stiller and Lou Ferrigno. While I still remember a few jabs at his waistline, they did mix it up a little. Then again, that might have had more to do with the episodes focused on the supporting cast... it's been a while.Ihateregistering1 said:In the movie's defense, "Fatty falls down" is about 99% of Kevin James' jokes, so this movie is pretty much perfect for him.
