I just hope they vamp up the RPG elements in the game, it felt so simplified and took me well out of what I thought the game was. Diablo style it.

And the guns and combat are just a little off, At level 40? now single player is killing me arbitrarily and finding a new gun is honestly like

1 in a million.

The only thing I have worth using is my desert masher which is a 2 shot revolver that does 117x7 per round.

it seemed to forget that pcs have mouse wheels
Holy shit, this. I actually cannot express how frustrating it was because I couldn't figure out how the hell I was supposed to scroll down through quest description for ages. Who the hell uses page up/down?
Argh, me too, I passed on sooo many interesting quest details that could help me because I didn't read "PgUp/PgDown".
"Gearbox, please, WHO THE FUCK USES PAGE UP OR DOWN?", I was ready to yell. Sheesh, mouse wheels are awesome and they didn't even use it...

I think I can speak for pretty much every PC gamer out there when I say this. Nix the GameSpy...please?
I hate GameSpy, it's just so horrible, and obsolete... and also, it's owned by IGN, which I highly despise.

I was reading some of the Facebook comments on how bad the optimization is for Borderlands on the PC. Since I don't have a FB account, I just have this to add here: I am on a second-gen i7 running at 4.5 GHz, along with a GTX 590 video card. There are seriously parts where I drop down to ~25 fps from the usual 60+, especially in some of the DLC. I know that sounds slightly spoiled wanting the game to run around a constant 60, but the problem is it's really noticeable when there's a drop like that.

Sadly, I was never able to play online (only LAN, but I love every minute of it) because Gamespy just fucking sucked. I have no idea what it was, but it just never let me start or join games online (no, it wasn't my firewall or other security; nor was it my router).

I hope Borderlands 2 works better. Still, it's good to hear they aren't giving PC gamers the finger with that god-awful inventory anymore.

Wouldn't the best way to both appologize to the PC Gaming crowd and appeal to the PC Gaming crowd be to release a game that's decent, instead of saying you're going to release a game that's decent?

I'm pretty sure the laws of marketing state, "never say your product sucks", so forgive me if I don't take you at your word, Borderlands 2.

Then again I found the first game so boring th--OH, I KNEW there was a game I wanted to mention in that 'boring video games' topic! Need to go edit my post!...

I'm tired of this new "buzzword" marketing. Almost every game in the past year has promised a proper PC port and most all of them have been lazy. Adding a comprehensive option and setting menu is not enough. Any game which is originally designed around 256mb RAM and menu navigation with a controller will not be "fix'd" for PC just by adding a setting for AA and AF.

Every time they use this Proper PC Port term, it feels like a "Let's just be friends" line.

Kester and the rest of the Gearbox team seem committed to making sure Borderlands 2 pleases as many players as possible. I wonder why? [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/editorials/reviews/8949-Duke-Nukem-Forever-Review]
Oh fuck off.

As for the UI, I never had any problems with the UI in Borderlands on PC. So making the system even more convenient will be more of a small bonus as opposed to a "About damn time".

You never know, I do play a couple of multiplayer games that can be played in a single screen with my buddies, using 360 controllers (so much for being a PC gamer).

Sometimes, my buddies come to my place and I don't have any console, so I connect my PC to a huge TV and start playing splitscreen. Also, they're not much into games as I do, so they obviously don't have consoles or another gaming capable PC to play in LAN.

As much as it sounds silly or useless to you, it's a blessing for me.

I love that things have gone so bad that "it wont suck" has become a viable selling point :D

I will be watching this from a distance, Borderlands won me over with it's novelty, but it had somany flaws that they can't pull the same thing twice.

What exactly was wrong with the FOV in Borderlands? I never felt sick when playing, so could someone give me the short explanation?

? The PC port was...bad?

Ok, sure, the interface was a bit annoying, but it was still the best game I've played with friends since...I dunno, Brawl, probably.

Anyway, as long as my laptop can run Borderlands 2, and I can get at least ONE of my borderlands-1 buddies in on the action, I will be ALL OVER THIS GAME.

Hopefully we get even more anarchy and awesome weapons and skills. ...And hopefully the siren will be playable again, or that there's another mage/backstabbity/teleporting-like character I can use. She was damn fun in the first game.

Just as long as "Keep Your Insides Inside" doesn't make an encore appearance.
That was a glitch mission. It was likely (I'm assuming) what the mission was to be named at first but they changed it and removed that mission. It was in the game files, someone took it out, went online, and unintentionally spread it around.

It's like a fucking virus.

Yep, people use WillowTree to hack into the game files to activate it. Lazy programming, that's all.

The only way to fix it is to hack your save file. Damn viral glitches.

That doesn't sound spoiled at all. If the game were running at 40fps I am sure you could live with that, but if it is running at 60 and suddenly drops to 40 that's awful because you really feel the frame drop and it makes the game feel VERY clunky.
I have never ahd problems with that in Borderlands, but in Saints Row 2 I often had below 10 frames per second when I started it up.
